I was just telling someone yesterday that one of the reasons why I love following your work is that it reminds me I have the permission to do so many things, than I CAN. Thank you for being annoying!! :p
This was exactly what I needed to hear today, thank you. Wrote this morning in my morning pages about realizing I don't care (or, at least, don't want to care) about growing my subscribers/followers. Every time I publish a newsletter, I lose a few subscribers, and I'm at a place where I'm thinking, "oh, that's great!" Why would I want a subscriber who doesn't really want to read my stuff? I don't want to grow for the sake of the numbers, like just amassing these numbers. I want to grow slowly for the sake of building a group of actual humans who like what I make. (And who are happy to hear me tell them what I'm doing and making.)
Somewhere in the middle of reading this I burst into tears because I've been so confused on this issue. And I feel like another piece is that if you're 'supposed' to engage in X number of marketing efforts and it feels weird or exhausting, you can do half or a third rather than none at all. Thank you for your wisdom <3
THANK YOU FOR THIS. I look forward to this newsletter every week!! How said it would be if you decided not to share in fear of being “annoying” but oh goodness can I relate to this!!!!
Thank you thank you thank you for this! Especially the tip on sitting with feeling "annoying", and that it often means we aren't promoting ENOUGH. So much resonance.

Got a smug smile for you re: how good this one is.

Coming back to say I listened to the podcast welcome/intro and I am EXTREMELY EXCITED about it.
