For the last 2.5 years I have been facilitating Flexible Office - an experimental digital co working space for all mediums and all people. While I love the nature of tackling hard to do tasks I found myself craving specific time to write.
This fall I will be starting my low res MFA in Creative Writing at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University. I want time to write, to read, to edit, and to completely devote myself to my writing practice. This is how I write. I carve out time and I protect it. I invite you to do the same in the group.
When you join you get a Notion template of writing tools, a reading list, 27 ways to start writing, and more
Landscapes is a space for all writers. Published authors, people just getting started with a newsletter, and anyone who doesn't yet call themselves a writer but wants to be in community. Think of it as a mini school where your classmates are extremely cool, the teachers are the best, and there are many ways to connect in and out of the container.
Landscapes is hosted on Mighty Networks and there are threads to connect with each other over different topics, genres, and resource sharing. All the zoom links are easily listed so you’ll never lose a link and you can sync them with your own calendar.
I have seen my co-working spaces literally change people’s lives and give them a space to become more themselves. I want this for you dear reader. I want you to have a space with other writers and artists who are wildly dedicated to the craft, their activism, and their values.
Landscapes is a place to build the scaffolding of your practice, to truly see what you are devoted to, to take charge of what you want to put into the world.
Landscapes has many channels for connection, including a BIPOC Writers space for private sharing and connection facilitated by
- the first Saturday of August and September there will be zoom meet ups for this cohort.I pulled a card for Landscapes launch day and it was The Moon. I wanted to share this from
book Tarot for Change about the card, which feels so true about claiming the word writer and cultivating the time for ourselves to write. To be in a state of not knowing creates openings, illuminates new pathways, and is thus ripe with potential, even as we can’t grasp yet what may scare us.
Jessica Dore, Tarot for Change
It might really scare us to write. To not know what to say. I find there is no better place than in a community of others willing to excavate words to find our own. To be archaeologists of language. To be architects of spirit. To ride the waves of the landscapes of words. I hope you’ll join me.

If you join Landscapes today I would love to know and love for you to spread the word. Drop a note in the comments, share it on social media, post it in Substack notes, or share it in your own newsletter. Word of mouth is the best form of promotion and I’d love to see this project grow far and wide. XO
